Q. How does Circuit Genie Tech Support's Remote Support Service work?
A. Anytime you are experiencing a computer problem or even just want to ask us a question, you can call the company’s dedicated number and a live technician can connect to your computer (with your approval, of course). The technician can then remotely access your computer to solve the problem or answer any questions you might have. You can actually sit at your computer and watch what we do if you’re interested. It’s all on the screen. And if you need we'll even send out an experienced technology professional to get you going in no time.

Q. Can you look at the files on my computer?
A. Can we? Yes. Do we? No. Just as if you would drop your computer off at a computer repair shop, we have access to your whole computer. However, we respect our client’s privacy and only access what we need to fix. Everything we do is kept with the utmost confidence. We don’t read or open files we only fix problems.

 

Q. What requirements does my computer need to have for remote support?
A. High-speed Internet with a minimum of 256Kb/s Up and 256Kb/s Down in good working order, such as a DSL or cable connection.
Windows 7 and Windows Vista Requirements:
• High-speed Internet access (Cable, DSL or T1, with a minimum 256Kbs/256Kbs good quality connection)
• 2GHz Processor (minimum)
• 1GB RAM (minimum) / 2GB RAM (recommended)
Windows XP Requirements:
• High-speed Internet access (Cable, DSL or T1,with a minimum 256Kbs/256Kbs good quality connection)
• 800MHz Processor (minimum)
• 256MB RAM (minimum) / 512MB RAM or more recommended
Mac OS Requirements:
• High-speed Internet access (Cable, DSL or T1, with a minimum 256Kbs/256Kbs good quality connection)
• INTEL Processor
• OS X 10.6.8 or higher

Q. How are you different from the other guys?
A. We offer same-day, friendly, and complete service. You have access to our expert technicians everyday of the year. It’s inexpensive and we do it for you!

 

Q. I am concerned about letting someone into my computer. What do you do to protect me?
A. First off, you can actually watch everything we do on your computer. Plus, we use third-party software that gives you the power to grant permission to let us enter, or kick us out at any time. This software simply runs on your computer’s memory, we don’t even install it. You don’t have to let anyone in your house, and you don’t leave your computer with strangers. We have qualified technicians with years of experience and our company is insured. We don’t save or store any information from your computer. It is not necessary to do our job. Privacy and security are our top priorities.

Q. What is your average wait time?
A. Our average wait time is between 1 and 4 hours.

Q. How long does it take to get my computer fixed? Do I have to stay there?
A. Normally the first call takes 2-3 hours. After that, it just depends on the problem. You do not have to sit in front of the computer if you do not wish to, but we do like to have someone available to reconnect us if we lose connection.
